Without Rhyme or Reason

Here I attempt to translate Arabic poetry. All translating mistakes, gaffes, and outright wild stabs in the dark are mine, and there are lots of them. I ask the discerning reader to complain loudly and bitterly whenever they spot such. I have modified many a mistake thanks to such complaints. 

Methodology: Having given up attempting to render the effect of the Arabic into English about three lines into my first attempt, I tried for literal translation, and soon gave that up as beyond my capabalities, and bone-rattlingly jarring besides. 

This is an excercise in futility for my own amusement, an amateurish copying of paintings I must stop and oooh at, a spontaneous babelfish reaction to pretty poetry. 

Also a permanent work-in-progress. Sporadic spastic attempts at improvements are ongoing. Suggestions welcome.
